Rapolas Skipitis
Rapolas Skipitis (born January 31, 1887 in Baukai near Daujėnai , Pasvalys Rajongemeinde , † February 23, 1976 in Chicago , United States ) was a Lithuanian lawyer, lawyer and politician .
Life
He studied at the Julius Janonis Grammar School Šiauliai . From 1909 to 1910 he studied medicine . In 1916 he graduated from Moscow University with a law degree . From 1917 to 1918 he was a member of the Supreme Lithuanian Council in Russia and was later sent to Ukraine as envoy . In 1918 he was judge of the peace for Šiauliai and from 1919 to 1920 in Kaunas , from 1919 to 1920 he was prosecutor at the Kaunas District Court , from 1920 to 1922 Minister of the Interior of Lithuania . From 1922 to 1940 he was a sworn attorney and from 1932 to 1940 was a member of the bar. In 1926 he was a member of the 3rd Seimas (party Ūkininkų partija ).
