Rarmian Newton

Rarmian Newton (born August 15, 1993 in Melbourne ) is an Australian actor .

life and career

Newton was born in Melbourne and began taking singing and acting classes at the age of four. He studied at the Centerstage Performing Arts School in Brunswick and at the Victorian College of Arts Secondary School with a dance scholarship. In 2006 he got his first experience on television with Stephen King's Nightmares and in the theater in The Boy from Oz and The Jacaranda Tree . From 2007 to 2008 he played as one of four boys the title role in the Australian tour of Billy Elliot: the Musical , which together received the Helpmann Award for best male leading actor in a musical in 2008.

Other theater roles in 2008 were Tumblebrutus in Cats and the lead role Hiccup in the Australian arena show How To Train Your Dragon . In 2012 a supporting role in a TV series followed in Dance Academy - Dance your dream! and a leading role in The Family in 2016 . In 2018 he starred in Rise and the first season of Tell Me a Story and in 2019 in NOS4A2 and the third season of Mr. Mercedes .
