Rasa Ragulskytė-Markovienė

Rasa Ragulskytė-Markovienė (* 16th October 1976 in Kaunas , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian judge , environmental rights activist , professor at the Department of Administrative Law , Faculty of Law Mykolo Romerio universitetas (MRU).

Life

After graduating from high school, Rasa Ragulskytė completed a law degree at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1999 and a postgraduate degree ( LL.M. ) summa cum laude at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2000 . In April 2005 she did her doctorate at the Vilniaus universitetas on the subject of "Problems of harmonizing Lithuanian environmental law with EU environmental law using the example of environmental impact assessment " (lit. Lietuvos aplinkos teisės derinimo su Europos Sąjungos aplinkos teise problemos poveikio aplinkai vertinimo kontekste ). She received scholarships from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Study Foundation of the Berlin House of Representatives , from 2003 to July 2003 a research grant from the German Federal Environmental Foundation at the University of Rostock (Chair for Constitutional and Administrative Law, Environmental Law and Public Commercial Law, Supervisor: Detlef Czybulka ) . With the International Parliament Scholarship she did the internship in the German Bundestag .

From April to May 2000 she worked as a lawyer at Akcinė bendrovė “Turto bankas ”, from 2001 to 2007 assistant judge at the Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucinis Teismas . Since July 2007 she has been a judge at the Vilnius District Administrative Court .

Since October 2000, she has been teaching at the Chair of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the Vilniaus Universitetas Law Faculty . Since 2012 she has been a professor at the Chair of Administrative Law and Administrative Process at the Law Faculty of the Mykolo Romerio universitetas .

She is married to Paulius Markovas, a lawyer , and has the son Karolis and the daughter Viktorija.
