Rauni Mollberg
Rauni Mollberg (born April 15, 1929 in Hämeenlinna , † October 11, 2007 in Loimaa ) was a Finnish film director.
Life
Mollberg graduated from a theater school and then worked as an actor and director at theaters in the provinces as well as at the Finnish television theater. In 1973 he made his first film with Maa on syntinen laulu . This film adaptation of the novel was a great success with the public and also received a lot of attention abroad. More films followed. He used an expressive realism in his films .
In 1973, 1974, 1978 and 1986 Mollberg received the Finnish Jussi Film Award for best director . In 1989 he was awarded the Finnish title of academic .
