The Ravine Mahaut is a short stream on the east coast of Dominica in the Parish of Saint David .

geography

The Ravine Mahaut rises on the crest of the crater of Petite Soufrièré and flows in a short steep course to the east and takes on numerous, branched but short streams before it flows into the Atlantic Ocean in Petite Soufrière Bay ( Crête Da ). Together with the Ravine Louis, it is one of only two well-known streams in the crater of Petite Soufrièré.

Several other bodies of water in Dominica have similar names, such as the Kuerek (Mahaut River) further north in the Carib Territory, the Mahaut River near Rivière Cirique and the Caribbean tributary Mahaut River in the Parish Saint Paul .
