Rawa ( Arabic راوة, DMG Rāwa ) is an Iraqi city in the province of al-Anbar .
It lies on the largest river in the Middle East , the Euphrates. The city of Ana is 20 kilometers from Rawa .
According to the Iraqi government , the Iraqi armed forces liberated Rawa in November 2017 as the last remaining city within Iraq from occupation by the IS terrorist militia .
