Zita Gaier (born January 24, 2006 ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Zita Gaier was born the third of five children, her brothers Enzo Gaier (* 2002) and Lino Gaier are also actors. She plays the piano, sings in a choir at the Vienna Music School and dances ballet and modern. Since autumn 2016 she has been taking the dance preparatory course at the Vienna Conservatory and attending the Boerhaavegasse grammar school .

She made her film debut in 2016 in the movie Maikäfer flieg by director Mirjam Unger , a film adaptation of the autobiographical novel Maikäfer, flieg !: My father, the end of the war, Cohn and I by Christine Nöstlinger from 1973. In it she played alongside Ursula Strauss and Gerald Votava starred nine year old Christine. In 2016 she was also a guest on the ORF - Late Night Show Willkommen Österreich .

In 2017 she stood in front of the camera for the filming of the television series Trakehnerblut , in which she played the role of Tilda Holzleitner. In the television film Die Professorin - Tatort Ölfeld (2018) she played the role of the young Adelgunde "Gundi" Kramer. In summer 2019 she shot for Helmut Karner's film Ground Control . In the fourth season of the television series Vorstadtweiber she played Lea, the daughter of Caro Melzer, played by Martina Ebm .

In the feature film Sunburned (2019) by Carolina Hellsgård , she played the lead role of 13-year-old Claire, with Sabine Timoteo as her film mother Sophie.
