Rudolph Friedrich von Freymann

Rudolph Friedrich Ludwig von Freymann (* 25. March 1786 ; † 2. June 1850 at Gut Kallenhof in Wenden ) was a Russian officer , Knight of the Order Pour le Merite and Government in Riga .

Life

Together with his brothers and cousins, he grew up on the Alt-Nursie estate ; they were tutored by the private tutor Gnuechtel. From a young age, Rudolph was introduced to military exercises such as riding, fencing and similar exercises. Like his brothers, later major general Karl Otto Friedrich (* 1788), Georg Gustav (* 1798) and Hermann Jakob (* 1791), he began his military career in the 2nd Cadet Corps in Saint Petersburg , which was also the United Engineering and Artillery School in of the Imperial Russian Army . After he 1803 Ensign had been promoted, he was on duty in Lsewskischen- Infantry - Regiment . The promotions to the next higher ranks took place in 1805 to sub-lieutenant , 1807 to lieutenant , 1809 to staff captain and captain and in 1813 to major . Between 1805 and 1812 he took part in war operations in Finland and Prussia and was temporarily a regiment of the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm III. assumed that Freymann awarded the order Pour le Mérite in 1814. Emperor Alexander I honored him in 1809 with the award of the Golden Sword for bravery and in 1812 with the Order of St. Vladimir IV class. In 1819 Freymann received the Order of St. Anna II. Class

In 1807 Rudolph received a shoulder injury that severely hindered his mobility and which was a long process to heal. The consequences of this wound finally led to his having to resign in 1816 with the rank of colonel . Freymann then entered civil service in Riga as a councilor in the governorate of Livonia . He acquired the Secklershof and Kallenhof estates in the Wenden district and died on June 2, 1850 in Wenden.

Origin and family

Rudolph Friedrich came from the Baltic noble family von Freymann (line II. - House Nursie). His father was Otto Reinhold von Freymann (1760-1820), who was married to Juliane Jacobine von Stackelberg (* 1786). Rudolph's first marriage was to Anna Louise von Torklus (1796–1816) and his second marriage was to Elisabeth (Lisette) Charlotte von Schröder (1799–1883). This is where his descendants came from:
