Otto Woldemar von Freymann

Otto Woldemar Eduard von Freymann adH Nursie (born November 22, 1828 , † June 14, 1871 in Druskininkai , today Lithuania ) was a Russian officer and landowner in Estonia.

Life

Otto Woldemar visited the Buchholz Institute in Riga and then the Livonian State High School in Birkenruh near Wenden .

His military career began on June 1, 1847, when he with the rank of a sergeant in the Second. St. Petersburg Grenadier - Regiment Friedrich Wilhelm III. entered. This regiment was later in the Saint Petersburg bodyguard regiment King Friedrich Wilhelm III. renamed. On February 17, 1849 he was promoted to sub- ensign and on May 20, 1849 to ensign . In 1856 he and his regiment, as part of the Guards and Grenadier Corps, took part in the military celebrations for the coronation of Tsar Alexander II in Moscow . In 1863 he served as military deputy, at a ceremony, after Berlin had been ordered, during this stay was he with the Prussian Royal Order of the Crown (3rd class) decorated . His promotion to captain also took place in 1863, in that year he was also used in combat operations during the suppression of the Polish uprising . His promotion to major took place in 1864 and in 1865 he was appointed head of a rifle company. In the following year he was battalion commander and in 1867 promoted to lieutenant colonel and in 1869 placed À la suite in the army infantry.

During his stationing in Druskininkai (Gouvernement Grodno) he suffered a stroke , of which he died on June 14, 1871.

Origin and family

Otto Woldemar came from the Baltic noble family von Freymann adH Nursie (2nd line) and was the son of Rudolph Friedrich von Freymann (1786–1850) and his second wife Elisabeth Charlotte von Schroeder (* 1828). On June 18, 1859 he married Pauline Sophie Catharina von Stackelberg (1828-1903). Her descendants were:
