Ray Loriga (actually: Jorge Loriga Torrenova ; born March 5, 1967 in Madrid ) is a Spanish author and director.

Loriga's debut novel Lo peor de todo , about a young failure, was published in 1992. He made his directorial debut in 1997 with La Pistola de mi hermano . The script he wrote is based on his fourth novel Caídos de cielo .

Loriga also works as a screenwriter for other directors . He co-wrote Pedro Almodóvar's Carne trémula and wrote the screenplay for Carlos Sauras El séptimo día .

Loriga has two sons from a previous relationship with the musician and actress Christina Rosenvinge . After a long stay in New York City, he lives again in Madrid.

In 2017, Loriga received the prestigious Premio Alfaguara de Novela for his novel Rendición .
