Ray William Johnson (born August 14, 1981 ) is an American comedian , best known for his YouTube videos.
Equals Three
= 3 , pronounced Equals Three , is a web show with various comedy interludes that is published on his main YouTube channel RayWilliamJohnson . In Equals Three, Johnson shows and comments on viral videos , videos that attract attention on YouTube, e.g. B. by a high number of clicks in a short time. On April 28, 2011, Ray announced a Spanish-language version of Equals Three called Igual a Tres , hosted by his friend Pedro Flores (stage name "PD-Flo"). It follows the same principle as Equals Three . = 3 appears every Tuesday, from a German perspective on Wednesdays due to the time difference. Individual episodes are moderated by other comedians. On June 27, 2011, Ray William Johnson's channel became the most subscribed channel on YouTube with more than 10 million subscribers and over 2.6 billion total video views.
On December 30, 2013, Ray William Johnson announced that he would shut down = 3 in 2014 to focus on other aspects of his career. On March 13, 2014 = 3 uploaded the last video that he moderated. From July 16, 2014 to July 24, 2015 Robby Motz hosted the show on Ray William Johnson's main channel, from July 28, 2015 it was Kaja Martin. She was replaced by Carlos Santos in December.

Your Favorite Martian is a fictional band created by Ray William Johnson. He writes the lyrics, raps , sings, composes and works with other musicians. On January 26, 2011, the debut video My Balls was released, which quickly reached 10 million viewers. All songs except Puppet Brake-Up by Your Favorite Martian appear along with an animated music video that will be posted on the band's YouTube channel. The videos posted after Grandma got a Facebook were animated by Studio Lady Bug . In the summer of 2012, the band's first album was announced, but later canceled. Shortly thereafter, Johnson founded his own production company, which bears the name of the album. However, the project was canceled.

This project was one of the first Johnson's. He reported here on current political events. However, the videos were removed from him or from YouTube.
Fatty spins
In mid-2009 Ray started the comedy music project Fatty Spins . He wrote and sang the songs "Doin 'Your Mom" and "Muppet Sex". The project was later abandoned with the analogous note: “Fatty Spins was a fun project, but we won't be making music together anymore. We leave the videos on YouTube for archiving. "
Breaking NYC
In December 2009, Johnson started posting short vlogs showing what he was doing when he was not devoting himself to his webshow = 3 . He published videos almost every day until June 2010, but then stopped because he focused more on = 3 . In April 2011 he started uploading new videos, this time about his life in Los Angeles . Runaway Machine (previously Runaway Planet )
At the beginning of December 2012 Johnson and his then partner Anna Akana started their own studio with "Runaway Planet". This works closely with Julian Smith's Studio Papertown . On November 22, 2013, Johnson's then-partner, Anna Akana, announced that they were changing the studio's name to Runaway Machine to avoid legal issues. Due to the separation of Johnson and Akana in May 2014, there will be no further episodes for the time being.
