Soblahov (German Soblahof , Hungarian Cobolyfalu - until 1907 Szoblahó ) is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia with 2400 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) . It belongs to the Okres Trenčín , a district of the higher Trenčiansky kraj district .
geography
The municipality is located in the Považské podolie (approximately: Waag valley landscape) in the narrow valley of the Dolinový creek . The Strážovské vrchy mountain range rises to the east of Soblahov . The place is seven kilometers from Trenčín .
history
Soblahov was first mentioned in writing as Sabula in 1332 and was tribute to Trenčín Castle . 1622 expelled from Moravia came Habaner in the place and founded a Haban yard.
