Krivosúd-Bodovka (Hungarian Bodóka - until 1907 Krivoszúdbodovka ) is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia with 358 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) and is part of the Trenčín District , part of the kraj Trenčiansky .
geography
The village is located at the transition from the foothills of the Považský Inovec to the Považské podolie valley , on the left bank of the Váh . The center of the village is at an altitude of 200 m nm and is 14 kilometers from Nové Mesto nad Váhom and Trenčín .
Neighboring municipalities are Melčice-Lieskové in the north, Trenčianske Stankovce in the northeast and east, Selec in the southeast, Beckov in the south and Ivanovce in the west.
history
The present municipality was created in the 19th century through the merger of the places Krivosúd and Bodovka (name in 1808: Krywosúd junct [us] cum Bodovka ).
Krivosúd was first mentioned in writing in 1398 as Kys Rauazd and was owned by the noble families Kočovský and Rakolubský , later part of the domain of Beckov Castle . In 1598 the village had 32 houses, in 1715 21 taxpayers lived in Krivosúd. In 1828 there were 34 houses and 281 inhabitants, whose main sources of income were agriculture, hop growing and distilling .
Bodovka had 26 houses and 220 inhabitants in 1828.
The municipality in Trenčín County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then became part of Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 320 inhabitants in Krivosúd-Bodovka, including 314 Slovaks , 4 Czechs and 1 Moravian . 1 resident gave no information on ethnicity.
225 residents committed themselves to the Evangelical Church AB, 52 residents to the Roman Catholic Church and 1 resident to the Evangelical Methodist Church; one resident professed a different denomination. 37 residents had no denomination and the denomination was not determined for 4 residents.
