history
Today's municipality Skalka nad Váhom created in 1974 through the merger of previously independent cities scale (Hungarian Vágsziklás ) Skalská Nová Ves (until 1927 Slovak scale Nová Ves or scale Novejsa ; Hungarian Nemesújfalu ) and Ujazd (until 1946 Slovak Újezd - to 1927 Ujezdov ; Hungarian Vágutas ), which have since represented parts of the community.
Large parts of medieval and modern history are connected with the originally Benedictine monastery in the Skalka district, which was founded in 1224 by the Bishop of Neutra and which lasted until 1773 with interruptions.
