Adamovské Kochanovce is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia with 888 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) and is part of the Trenčín District , part of the kraj Trenčiansky .
geography
The municipality is located in the south of the Považské podolie valley below the White Carpathians . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 210 m nm and is eleven kilometers from Trenčín .
Administratively, the municipality is divided into the municipality parts Adamovce , Kochanovce and Malé Bierovce .
history
The present municipality was established in 1960 through the merger of the Adamovce-Malé Bierovce municipalities (which themselves emerged in 1895 from Adamovce and Malé Bierovce) and Kochanovce.
The first written mention of each place is as follows: Adamovce as Adamfalva in 1402, Kochanovce as Kohan in 1394 and Malé Bierovce as Bur in 1332.

According to the 2011 census, 818 inhabitants lived in Adamovské Kochanovce, including 781 Slovaks, seven Czechs and one German and one Magyar. 28 residents gave no answer. 406 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 270 residents to the Evangelical Church AB, five residents to the Evangelical Methodist Church, two residents to the Greek Catholic Church and one resident to the Evangelistic Church; five residents were of other denominations. 96 residents had no denomination and 33 residents had no denomination.
