Štvrtok (= dt. Thursday ; to 1927 Slovak and "Štvrtek"; Hungarian Vágcsütörtök - until 1907 Csütörtök ) is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia with 381 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) and is part of the Trenčín District , part of Trenčín kraj .

The municipality is located 17 kilometers southwest of Trenčín , on the slope of the White Carpathians on the right side of the central Waag Valley .

The place was first mentioned in writing in 1398 as Chetertekhel .
