Trenčianske Stankovce is a municipality in the Okres Trenčín of Trenčiansky kraj in northwestern Slovakia . On December 31, 2010, the number of residents was 3,157.
geography
The municipality is located in the Považské podolie (Waag Valley landscape) on the left bank of the Waag by the Selecký potok brook , under the Považský Inovec mountains , which rise south and south-east of the municipality. Trenčianske Stankovce is located ten kilometers south of the regional capital Trenčín on the state road 507, off the main road 50 .
The municipality is divided into four parts of the municipality, which have formed today's municipality since 1972: Malé Stankovce, Rozvadze, Sedličná and Veľké Stankovce.
history
Today's municipality is an old settlement area, for example in the Dlhé a Krátke Hradištia district , which has not yet been fully investigated.
The villages were first mentioned in the Middle Ages as follows:
District | year | As... |
---|---|---|
Malé Stankovce | 1345 | possessio Stanuk |
Rozvadze | 1212 | terra Rozowag |
Sedličná | 1403 | Sedlisna |
Veľké Stankovce | 1345 | possessio Stanuk |
At the beginning of the 15th century, the previously unique place Stankovce was divided into two parts: in 1410 the district Malé Stankovce is mentioned as Parva Stank and the district Veľké Stankovce in 1439 as Noghstankouecz .
The affiliation of the individual districts is also very varied. After the division, Malé Stankovce remained in the possession of the Stankov family , whose name is derived from the Slavic Stanislav and after its extinction to lower noble families. Veľké Stankovce, on the other hand, became the estate of the Trenschin castle and from the end of the 16th century until the end of feudalism the manor in the neighboring Ve Nachbarké Bierovce . The district of Rozvadze was initially owned by the Counts of Bösing , then it came to the local families, at the end of the 16th century the Trenčín castle, later under the management of the Meierhof in Veľké Bierovce, until 1746, when a Meierhof was established in the village. Only the Sedličná district belonged to the lesser nobles all along.
In all the villages the main occupation of the inhabitants was agriculture and fishing, and to a lesser extent forestry and handicrafts.
Until 1918 all places in Trenčín County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary , after which they came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia , or today Slovakia. In 1972 the merger took place in what is now the municipality.
