The Inowetz (seldom Freetown Mountains , Slovak Považský Inovec ) is a 48 kilometer long and 15 to 25 kilometer wide mountain range in western Slovakia .

The mountain range belongs to the western course of the Carpathian Arc , extends in the south of Hlohovec parallel to the Waagal in a northerly direction to south of Trenčín and is almost entirely forested. Its highest point is the Inovec with a height of 1041 meters.

A mountain range east of Zlaté Moravce with Velký Inovec as the main mountain, which was formerly part of the Vogelgebirge (Vtáčnik), is now called Pohronský Inovec .
