The Vogel Mountains within the geomorphological division of Slovakia

The Vogelgebirge ( Vtáčnik in Slovak ) is a mountain range in central Slovakia . It is part of the Slovak Central Uplands , which belongs to the Inner Western Carpathians .

It is limited

The mountain range is divided into four further geomorphological sub-units:

  1. Vysoký Vtáčnik
  2. Nízky Vtáčnik
  3. Župkovská brázda
  4. Raj

The highest peak is the 1346 m high Vtáčnik (also Hrádok ).
