Rayk Wieland (* 1965 in Leipzig ) is a German satirist , author and culture editor at MDR .

Wieland trained as an electrician , studied philosophy , was a newspaper, radio and television editor, including for the left-wing monthly magazine concrete , and now lives as an author and TV journalist near Hamburg . He writes for the satirical magazine Titanic in Frankfurt . Together with Gerhard Henschel he organizes the “Dead Salon” in the Hamburg Literature House . In 2009 Wieland's first novel I Suggest We Kiss Each Other was published .
