Raymond "Ray" Fung (born May 6, 1969 ) is an American snooker player who won the 2017 United States Snooker Championship .
Career
Fung is originally from Hong Kong and settled in Brooklyn . Fung first appeared in 2004 when he finished second in the United States Snooker Championship and eliminated in the group stage of the World Amateur Championship . From 2009 he participated regularly in the US championship and was eliminated in 2009 and 2010 in the semifinals and in 2013 in a previous round. In 2014 he finally reached the final, but lost to Ajeya Prabhakar . After losing to Sargon Isaac in the semi-finals in 2014 and 2015 , he reached the final again in 2017 and won the championship 5: 4 against Ahmed Aly Elsayed . In 2018 there was a new edition of the previous year's final in the final, but this time Fung had to admit defeat 2: 5. In 2019 he was eliminated in the semi-finals.
