The 2004 IBSF World Snooker Championship was the 30th edition of the World Amateur Snooker Championship . It took place from November 20 to December 4, 2004 in the NH Koningshof in Veldhoven and thus for the first time in the Netherlands .

Northern Irishman Mark Allen , who had already won the European Championship in summer 2004 , became world champion with an 11: 6 win in the final against Australian Steve Mifsud .

mode

The 87 participants were divided into eight groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The four best placed in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
