The 2013 IBSF World Snooker Championship was the 38th edition of the World Amateur Snooker Championship . It took place from November 28th to December 8th 2013 in the Daugavpils Olympic Sports Center in Daugavpils and thus for the first time in Latvia .

The Chinese Zhou Yuelong became world champion with an 8: 4 victory in the final against his compatriot Zhao Xintong and thus qualified for the main tour seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 . At the age of 15 he was the youngest amateur world champion, when he was replaced by Yan Bingtao a year later . In addition, he was the first Chinese to win the IBSF World Championships.

mode

The 117 participating players were divided into 18 groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top three in each group qualified directly for the final round, which was played out in the knockout system . The group fourth identified eight further participants in the final round in a play-off round.
