The 2019 IBSF U21 World Snooker Championship was a snooker tournament that took place from July 8th to 13th, 2019 at the Pingdu Olympic Sports Center in the Chinese city ​​of Qingdao . It was the 31st staging of the World Championship for U21 Juniors organized by the IBSF World Amateur Association .

In a Chinese final, Zhao Jianbo beat Pang Junxu 6-1 .

The Chinese Jiang Jun played the highest break of the tournament with 123 points in his group game against Shoaib Khan from India. Jiang had already won the U18 World Cup a few days earlier and was now able to reach the semi-finals again. In the quarter-finals he defeated his compatriot Wu Yize , who had won the tournament the previous year .

Nobody from Germany could qualify for the tournament because no player had reached the quarter-finals of the U21 European Championship . There are no participants from Switzerland either, Oskar Charlesworth and Mario Bodlos started for Austria . Both were eliminated in the group stage.

The 58 participants were divided into 12 groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top three in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in a knockout system , with the top 28 players in the group stage receiving a bye.
