The 1993 IBSF U21 World Snooker Championship was the seventh edition of the Junior World Snooker Championship . It took place in the Chess Hall in Reykjavík and was organized by the International Billiards & Snooker Federation . The Icelandic capital hosted the Junior World Championships for the second time since 1989 .
Icelandic Kristján Helgason became world champion with an 11: 7 win in the final against Sri Lankan Indika Dodangoda , who had played the highest break of the tournament with 116 points in the semifinals against Johan van Goetham .
