The 2018 IBSF World Snooker Championship was the 43rd edition of the World Amateur Snooker Championship . It took place from November 19 to 27, 2018 at the Grand Mercure Hotel in the Myanmar city ​​of Yangon .

World champion was the Chinese Chang Bingyu , who defeated his compatriot He Guoqiang 8: 3 in the final . He also scored the highest break of the tournament with 143 points in his semi-final match against Belgian Kevin Hanssens .

Last year's winner was Indian Pankaj Advani , who now lost to Poland's Kacper Filipiak in the round of 16 .

The Austrians Florian Nüßle , Oskar Charlesworth and Philipp Koch from the German-speaking area took part. Nüßle was the only one to survive the group stage and finally lost in the round of 32 against the eventual finalist He Guoqiang.
