1968 Amateur Snooker World Championship
The 1968 Amateur Snooker World Championship was the third edition of the World Amateur Snooker Championship . It took place in November 1968 in Sydney , Australia . The Englishman David Taylor became world champion with an 8: 7 win in the final against the Australian Max Williams .

The ten participating players were divided into two groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in both groups qualified for the final round, which was played out in the knockout system .
