IBSF World Snooker Championship 1987

The 1987 IBSF World Snooker Championship was the 14th edition of the World Amateur Snooker Championship . It took place at the West End Hotel in Bangalore , India . Welshman Darren Morgan became world champion with an 11: 4 win in the final against Maltese Joe Grech .

mode

The 47 participating players were divided into eight groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in each group qualified for the final round, which was played out in the knockout system .
