Ferenc Majoros

Ferenc Imre Majoros (born September 8, 1923 in Budapest , † March 6, 2008 in Cologne ) was a Hungarian-born legal scholar and historical publicist . He was a professor at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg .

Life

Majaros studied at the University of Budapest and was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. and in 1946 Dr. iur. PhD.

From 1962 he lived in the Federal Republic of Germany . From 1967 to 1988 he was a research assistant at the Institute for International and Foreign Private Law at the University of Cologne . 1982 followed the habilitation with Karl Heinz Neumayer at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg . In 1983 he became a private lecturer and in 1987 an adjunct professor for international law, international private law, comparative law and Eastern law and a lecturer in Eastern European and modern history at the universities of Würzburg and Heidelberg . Lectures took him to Paris and the Universidade de São Paulo .

Majoros published on the topics of bilateral copyright agreements, private law treaties and international private law as well as the history of Central and Southeastern Europe. Several articles have appeared for the Federal Institute for Eastern and International Studies . In 1985 he became editor of the journal Die Friedens-Warte .
