Manfred Schwalm (born June 3, 1939 , † March 22, 2010 in Wilhelmshaven ) was a German football player .

Career

Schwalm played until the age of 21 for VfB Oldenburg before the season 1960/61 to Duisburg SpV in the Oberliga West changed. He then returned to VfB Oldenburg and completed three seasons for this, the last, 1963/64 , in the second-rate and newly created regional league ; due to the time of his first-class league nachgefolgten and on July 28, 1962 the newly formed Bundesliga . His first game of 26 in the Regionalliga Nord he played on August 11, 1963 (1st matchday) in a 3-2 win at home against VfB Lübeck ; his first goal was the 3-2 winning goal in the 83rd minute in the away game against VfL Osnabrück on September 1, 1963 (4th matchday). He came to the Regionalliga Nord for Oldenburg on 26 games in which he scored five goals.

For the 1964/65 season he was obliged by Bayern Munich , for which he played three point games in the Regionalliga Süd . He made his debut for Bayern on August 9, 1964 (1st matchday) in a 10-0 home win against SV Darmstadt 98 ; he scored his only goal for Bayern in his last game on August 23, 1964 (4th matchday) with the goal to make it 3-0 in the 58th minute in the home game against FC Bayern Hof .

For season 1965-66 it undertook from the amateur league Baden ascended VfR Pforzheim , which was relegated as the Table of the Regional League South after just one season. For the 1969/70 season he joined the TSR Olympia Wilhelmshaven , who as a climber in the then second-class Regionalliga Nord could just keep it and finished the 1970/71 season in sixth place. Schwalm played 19 point games in the two seasons and scored four goals.

On Monday, March 22nd, 2010, he died at the age of 70 after a long and serious illness in Wilhelmshaven.
