The 2007 IBSF U21 World Snooker Championship was the 20th edition of the Junior World Snooker Championship hosted by the International Billiards & Snooker Federation . It took place from August 22nd to 31st at Bogmallo Beach Resort in the Indian state of Goa on the west coast of the country. The U21 World Cup was resumed after no annual tournament had been held for the first time since its introduction in 2006.

Michael Georgiou from England was U21 world champion . He won the final 11: 6 against the Chinese Zhang Anda . As the title holder, he also qualified for the 2008/09 Main Tour season .

mode

The U21 World Cup had 61 participants this year. The field was divided into 8 groups of 7 or 8 players. In round-robin mode (everyone against everyone) the best 4 of each group were played out, which then qualified for the main tournament. These 32 players then determined the world champion in an elimination tournament.
