IBSF World Snooker Championship 1985

The 1985 IBSF World Snooker Championship was the twelfth edition of the World Amateur Snooker Championship . It took place in the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool , England . World champion was Paul Mifsud from Malta with an 11: 6 win in the final against Dilwyn John from Welsh .

mode

The 44 participating players were divided into four groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in each group qualified for the final round, which was played out in the knockout system .
