Johan van Goetham (also Johan van Goethem ; born October 2, 1973 ) is a Belgian snooker player .

Career

At the U21 World Cup in 1993 , Johan van Goetham reached the semi-finals and was eliminated 5-8 against Indika Dodangoda . In 1993 and 1994 he was Belgian U21 champion . From 1994 he took part in the professional tournament series Main Tour for three seasons . His best result of the 1994/95 season was reaching the fourth qualifying round at the 1994 Grand Prix and the 1994 UK Championship . At the 1995 World Cup , he was eliminated in the second qualifying round against Welsh Ian Sargeant . In the following season he made it into the fourth qualifying round at the International Open and the European Open . At the 1996 World Cup he lost to the Irish Leo Fernandez in the second qualifying round . In the 1996/97 season he did not take part in any Main Tour tournament. In the world rankings , which was formed from the results of the past two seasons, he achieved his best placement this season with 305th place. At the end of the season he lost his place on the Main Tour.
