The UK Championship 1994 was a snooker tournament that was played November 11-27, 1994 at the Guild Hall in Preston . Stephen Hendry secured the win 10: 5 in the final against Ken Doherty . He made up for the final defeat from the previous year and won his third UK championship. He also successfully took revenge earlier in the season for losing the final to the Irish at the Scottish Masters .
Prize money
The prize money remained almost unchanged compared to the previous year, only the distribution for the lower places changed. From 33rd place there was a significant increase, but places 97 to 128 were left empty this time.

For the third time, more than 500 players took part in the tournament, but the 512 registered players were 49 fewer than in the previous year. From July 8th to September 19th, i.e. more than two months, the game was played to determine the participants for the main tournament.
Main tournament
The traditional 17 days from November 11th lasted the main tournament with the 64 remaining players.
Century breaks
With 41 century breaks in the main tournament, the result was below the previous year. Tournament winner Stephen Hendry , however, set a new record with 12 breaks of 100 or more points. He played seven Centurys in the final alone.
