The Škoda Grand Prix 1994 was a snooker tournament from the 1994/95 season that was held from October 10 to 23, 1994 in the Assembly Rooms in the central English city of Derby . For 10 years the Grand Prix had been associated with the city of Reading , and for the first time it was held at a different location. There had already been significant changes to the tournament last year, including the name sponsor of the car manufacturer Škoda.
Defending champion Peter Ebdon did not get past the round of 16 this time. With Dave Harold and John Higgins , two players entered the final who hadn't been professionals for long, but had made it into the top 16 in the world within 3 years. Higgins won the match 9-6 and took the first ranked title of his career.
Final round
64 players competed in the main tournament in Derby . The top 32 of the world rankings were set. The 32 players who had prevailed in the qualification were drawn to them.
