Raymond Hull

Raymond Hull (born February 27, 1919 in Shaftesbury , England , † June 6, 1985 in Vancouver , Canada ) was a British-Canadian writer.

Hull was employed in the public service before immigrating from England to Vancouver, Canada, in 1947. Since 1949 he took eight years of education in various writing courses , which he financed through poorly paid odd jobs. In the late 1950s, he began writing television plays that he sold to the US broadcaster CBS , as well as plays that he brought to various stages.

In addition, he led writing courses and, since the late 1960s, increasingly published non-fiction books, with which he was one of the first authors of advice on helping life. His major works include the co-authored with Laurence J. Peter book The Peter Principle (1970) (dt.
