Raymond Ken'ichi Tanaka

Raymond Ken'ichi Tanaka ( Japanese ラ イ ム ン ド 田中 健 一 , Raimundo Tanaka Ken'ichi ; born August 31, 1927 in Uwajima ) is former bishop of Kyoto .

Life

Raymond Ken'ichi Tanaka was ordained a priest on December 21, 1951 . Paul VI appointed him on July 8, 1976 bishop of Kyoto .

The Archbishop of Osaka Paul Yoshigoro Cardinal Taguchi consecrated him on September 23 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Paul Yoshiyuki Furuya , Bishop Emeritus of Kyoto, and Franciscus Xaverius Eikichi Tanaka , Bishop of Takamatsu .

He resigned from his office on March 3, 1997.
