Raymond Vidal

Raymond Vidal (born December 27, 1896 in Marseille , † June 18, 1991 in Monaco ) was a French politician. From 1932 to 1942 he was a member of the National Assembly .

Vidal worked as a lawyer in his native Marseille. He was a member of the SFIO and entered the National Assembly for them in 1932 at the age of 35. At the local level, he became the first deputy mayor of Marseille. In 1936 he was re-elected as a member of parliament. He did not take part in the vote on the Enabling Act of the Vichy regime in 1940. Vidal officially remained a member of parliament until 1942 and did not continue his political career after the liberation of France. He died in 1991.
