Raymund Gamma

Raymund Gamma (born February 25, 1919 in Wassen ; † July 8, 1980 in Lucerne , entitled to live in Wassen) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

After completing his commercial diploma and spending time abroad, Raymund Gamma worked in the hotel industry. From 1954 to 1971 he was the owner of the station buffets in Göschenen and Airolo .

He had from 1956 to 1966 as his first political office council held from Göschenen and was in the last four years of them as mayor operates. From 1966 to 1968 he was the district administrator of Uri for two years before he was elected to the government council and was active there until 1980. During this time, from 1974 to 1976 and in 1980 he was Landammann of his canton. On November 26, 1979 he was elected to the National Council. He died in office on July 8, 1980.

Gamma revamped the human resources of the state administration and was the driving force behind the tax law revision. He was also the founder of the cantonal section of the Swiss Touring Club in Uri. He also held various board memberships , for example at Elektrizitätswerke Altdorf and the Central Swiss Transport Association, where he was also President.
