Reactome

Reactome is a freely accessible online biochemistry database for molecule interactions at the cellular level , including protein-protein interactions , DNA , RNA , carbohydrate and small molecule interactions.

The aim of the project is the representation of the biochemical metabolism and signaling pathways in the individual steps of an interaction process and for several species . The entry is made on the basis of scientific publications or by confirming hypothetical interactions (from extrapolation from other species) in accordance with the four-eyes principle .

The annotations are currently being made primarily in the areas of the cell cycle , metabolism , signal transduction, transport, cell movement, immune reaction , pathogen interactions and neurobiology .
