Rebecca Gilling

Rebecca Gilling (born November 3, 1953 in Castlecrag , Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actress .

Life

Rebecca Gilling was born in Castlecrag, a suburb of Sydney in 1953. Her mother Bridget Gilling (1922-2009) was a feminist and social activist.

Gilling got her first acting role in Stone in 1974 , and gained greater fame as the flight attendant Diana Moore in the feature film Number 96 . From 1977 to 1979, Gilling played a recurring supporting role - Robbie Dean - in Glenview High and played Liz Kennedy in The Young Doctors .

Gilling became internationally known for the impersonation of Stephanie Harper in 1983 and 1986 in the mini-series Return to Eden . It was dubbed by Gudrun Vaupel (1983) and Almut Eggert (1986).

In the mid-1990s, Gilling withdrew from the film business and became the spokeswoman for the non-profit environmental organization "Planet Ark".

Private

Gilling was married to Tony Pringle from 1985 to 2003 and is the mother of two children, Amy Pringle (* 1987) and William Pringle (* 1990).
