Rebekka Ruetz

Rebekka Ruetz (born October 17, 1984 in Zams ) is an Austrian fashion designer .

Life and career

Rebekka Ruetz was born in Tyrol in 1984. She attended the HBLA Innsbruck für Mode (Ferrarischule), before she graduated from the Academy for Fashion and Design (AMD) in Munich in 2008 as a best graduate. She then worked in London for the Peter Pilotto fashion label. In 2009 she founded her own fashion label, rebekka ruétz, based in Innsbruck .

Fashion & style

Rebekka Ruetz's collections are characterized by material mixes, asymmetrical, feminine cuts, wide silhouettes and large prints. According to her own statement, she creates “fashion for the modern Amazon”. She also likes to combine her prêt-à-porter line “rebekka ruétz” with her streetwear collection “You know you want it”. Slogan shirts with clear statements are also used on the catwalk, for example “Race: Human”, “Make Love Great Again” or “Sometimes it takes balls to be a woman”. She attaches great importance to sustainability and only uses fake fur and vegan leather for fur and leather . She has been presenting her collections at Berlin Fashion Week since 2011.
