history
The company was founded in 1919 by Josef Jaegers in Frankfurt / Main. In the early 1930s the company moved to Aschaffenburg.
From 1958 to 1963, the company's fleet was converted to tankers . Stinnes AG had held a 55% stake in the Jaegers shipping company since 1970 . In 1995 Stinnes sold its shipping business to Jaegers.
In 2000, the tankers were taken over by SRN-Alpina and Beckmann, whereby the company's fleet grew to more than 130 ships. In 2003 it took over the Royal Vopak shares in the shipping company Chemgas Shipping BV from Rotterdam, the fleet is now around 170 ships.
