Reeve Island is a 2.5 km long island in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of the Wauwermans Islands it lies between Knight Island and Friar Island .
The island is still unnamed and first recorded on an Argentine map from 1950. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after a figure from the Canterbury Tales by the English writer Geoffrey Chaucer , written around 1387 .
