The Reformed Church in Champfèr in Upper Engadine is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . When it was founded, the church was under the patronage of St. Roch (also commonly known as Rocchus ) and is therefore also called St. Rocchus Church .

History and equipment

The church was built in 1521 in the early years of the Reformation , but before its adoption in Champfèr, in the late Gothic style and with the choir east facing . Inside the church, the choir has three small windows with glass paintings by Ernst Rinderspacher . You can see the motifs of the angel's Annunciation to Mary , the removal of the dead Jesus from the cross on Good Friday and the resurrection of Jesus . In the middle of the choir there is a baptismal font , which is also used as a communion table. The polygonal pulpit without a sound cover is attached to the left of the two-step staircase to the choir.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Champfèr as a place of preaching for the merged parish of Sils / Silvaplana / Champfèr within the Colloquium VIII Engiadin'Ota-Bregaglia-Poschiavo-Sursès .
