The border between the two communities runs along the Ova da Suvretta stream ( [ˌovrɐdɐsuˈvrɛtɐ] ? / I ) across the village. Politically, Champfèr belongs partly to St. Moritz and partly to Silvaplana. South of the village is the Lej da Champfèr , the northern part of the Lej da Silvaplauna . The two tiny lakes Lej Marsch and Lej Nair lie a little east of Champfèr . The village of Champfèr itself is characterized by its compactness, while Suvretta, located slightly to the northeast, consists largely of holiday apartments and hotels and is very sprawled.
