The Reformed Church in Fanas in Prättigau is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . The church is located in the east of the village and was last extensively restored in 1924, the outside partially renovated in 1974.

History and equipment

The church is first documented in 1483. It was rebuilt in its present form between 1754 and 1755. Inside it is characterized by a rectangular hall with a vaulted ceiling covering. The arrangement in the choir , which is only indicated by a bulge, is striking : the pulpit , accessible from two sides, rises above the central baptismal font from 1755 , whose basket, dated 1755, merges directly into the organ case behind , which was made in 1924. The baptismal font, pulpit and organ thus represent a church-architectural unit that is unusual for Graubünden.

Church organization

Fanas forms a pastoral community with Grüsch . The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Fanas as a parish within the Colloquium IX Prättigau .
