The Refuge du Cuchet is a refuge located in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . The refuge, located at an altitude of 2160 m, belongs to the administration of the Vanoise National Park . The hut has not been in operation since 2018.
description
The hut, which has not been managed since 2018, has 24 beds that can be booked all year round. Since the hut has been jointly managed by both the Vanoise National Park and the municipality of Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis , there is no longer a tenant. The reason given is a lack of profitability.
From the hut you have a beautiful view of the Haute Maurienne valley and the summit of the Dent Parrachée .
Approach
The ascent begins not far from the village center of Lanslebourg and follows the GR 5 long-distance hiking trail
