Reg Lewis (actor)
Reg Lewis (born January 23, 1936 in Niles , California ) is an American bodybuilder who starred in several films.
Lewis began bodybuilding as a teenager and was discovered by Mae West at the age of 18 , who took him on tour (alongside Gordon Mitchell , Dan Vadis and Mickey Hargitay ). Up until her last film, Sextets (1978), in which he also played a role, Lewis was often West's companion on official occasions. He has won numerous titles, such as Junior Mr. Olympics (1953), Mr. Olympics (1956), Mr. Pacific Coast (1956), Mr. Physical Fitness (1956), Mr. Universe Professional Class (1957), Mr. America (1963), Natural America Masters Overall (1982), and Mr. America Over Forty (1983).
Along with the wave of mythological films, Lewis also made a film in Italy, Germanicus in the Underworld , and played a monster in the 1967 Hollywood comedy The Naked Mile .
