The Regent's University London is a non-profit private university in London . Regent's University is only the second institution in the UK (after the University of Buckingham ) to be granted private university status. As such, it is one of six private institutions in the United Kingdom that are authorized to award degrees. It is the largest university among the five private universities (and one of the two non-profit ) in the country.
The university has an international student body , with students from a total of 130 countries. Only 15% of students are from the UK. Another 40% come from the EU area . 15% of the students are from the United States .
